The New Healthy Eating Pyramid

I'm sure you'll agree...this time they've really nailed it.

Thirty five years this has been "evolving", but I'll be buggered if I can tell the difference over that time.

It is too depressing to look at closely, but apparently tofu, quinoa and soy milk have been added, so the rate of obesity is due for decline any day now.

  1. The loud swishy-thudding noise you might have just heard is just that of my jaw hitting the ground. Again.

I'm currently reading 'The World Turned Upside Down' by Richard D Feinman and he has some choice words for dieticians and nutritionists and their obliviousness to meaningful science. It's well worth reading, should be compulsory for medical students and Norman Swan.

    1. I'm absolutely awful at reading books to the end, but have started Feinman's latest - so far so good.

      Cheers.

  2. On a lighter ( or darker if you turn up the toaster) note, these food pyramids remind me of some of Jasper Fforde's outpourings.
