New ketosis hypothesis

The comments section over at Peter Attia's Eating Academy attracts a diverse range of people and opinions.

Either Rita has a unique sense of humour (it certainly made me laugh) or perhaps her time would be better spent investigating whether ketosis cures stupidity.

  1. "Ketogenic diet significantly lowers sexual desire"

Hogwash, when I went keto I wore out 3 blow up dolls in a week.

  2. Eddie, may be you were not restricting calories enough during the time of your experiment?

  3. Eddie, I think you should try the Margaret Thatcher model, they're a lot tougher.

Chips, this is an old question, here it is discussed in paragraph 112, right after the rules about beer:

    1. You have an interesting brain, C.

"“If a member of the elite strike the cheek of a member of the elite who is of a higher social status than him, he shall be flogged in public with 60 strikes of an ox-whip,” reads one law (translation from van de Mieroop’s book)."

Different rules for the elite - sounds like not much has changed in four thousand years.

      Cheers.

    1. Of course, silly woman.

Wikipedia is my cure for ignorance in this instance - "His favorite device was an enema machine that could rapidly instill several gallons of water in a series of enemas."

I imagine that'd be enough to quell the lustful desires of most people. What it says about him, is another thing entirely.

      Have a good one.

  5. Dr Kellog and his brother are to blame for all that breakfast-bird-seed-madness too.

Hammurabi was the original tyrant, the prototype of Alexander and Caesar and the other mass murderers that came after. As soon as agriculture gave rise to the early urbs, and human populations began to get out of control, along came the thugs like H.

    But probably not like this:
